Invited Session Proposal

About Invited Sessions

The 2022 ICSA Applied Statistics Symposium invited sessions program is developed by the scientific program committee. Anyone can propose a session, but the proposal needs to be adopted by the committee for it to be part of the invited program. Of particular interest are sessions that appeal to diverse audiences and are closely related to the symposium’s theme of Statistical Innovations in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

An invited session will be 105 minutes, consisting of either 4 presenters or 3 presenters plus 1 discussant. The one-talk rule will be applied (i.e., each speaker can only give one invited talk). It is required to confirm all speakers’ availability before proposal submission. Please submit your proposal using this page before December 15, 2021. You may increase the chance of the proposal being accepted if in the general description of the session you can support the participants’ qualifications to speak about the topic. The scientific program committee welcomes proposals that involve diverse speakers with mixed gender and seniority.

There are a limited number of invited session slots. Those proposals not accepted as invited sessions will be encouraged to resubmit to the poster session and the poster competition.

The acceptance of invited sessions will be determined by January 15, 2022. In order to secure the invited session slot, the presenters will be required to register to the symposium and submit the abstracts online by April 15, 2022.
